 Welcome to Class

Welcome to Arlington Heights High School.  I look forward to working with you and your students this upcoming year.    I look forward to meeting you at Open House on September 13th at 6:00 pm.  If I do not have the privilege of meeting you then, please contact me through email as it is the best way to contact me.

 Homework

Each night I am expecting all of my students to study for at least 15 to 30 minutes, including the weekends.  The old adage "practice makes perfect" is absoluetely true for math skills.

Studying could be:  organizing their binder, rewriting old notes, working problems from previous worksheets or from their textbook, working out of the TAKS study guide from the Texas Education Agency website, explaining and demonstrating what the student learned today in class to their parents, showing their notes and work to their parent each night, and/or playing Tabula Digita online.

 Classroom Supplies

Each student is responsible for bringing daily classroom supplies.  They are a 3-ring binder with dividers, notebook and graph paper, and a pouch containing pencils, erasers, a highlighter, and map pencils.  Each day the students will also need to bring their planner so they can document their assignments.

The students will have a daily warm up when the students enter the room.  The students are expected to write down the warm up and work the problem showing all work.  I will collect their warm ups at the end of the week for a weekly grade.

The students are expected to keep their binder organized and neat at all times.  I will attempt to take a notebook grade several times through out the year.
