Learning

During this six weeks we will be learning about:

MATH: In math we are working on a measurement unit. Your students have learned how to measure using  unconventional items such as cubes, links, and other objects. We measured ourselves by height, we will revisit this activity two more times during the year.

SOCIAL STUDIES: In social studies we are looking into how communities and life has changed throughout history.

SCIENCE: In science we are studying a unit on Force and Motion.

Welcome to Mrs. Yargers' class website!

I am so happy to have each of your students in my class! We have been having a wonderful year so far and I am so excited for what is still yet to come!

This is my fifteenth year of  having the priilivage of teaching the children of Fort Worth and now the children of Westworth Village. I taught 10 years at W.J Turner Elementary school before coming to Burton Hilll four years ago.  I have taught grades, 3 and 4 Gifted and Talented, 1st grade ESL, Kindergarten and now Pre-school.

I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a degree in Interdisciplary studies with a specializtation in Early Childhood with an ESL endorsement.

Outside of teaching my amazing students, I love science. I am involved with the  University of North Texas Science Collaborative where I just recently recieved the of honor of Science Mentor Teacher from the Texas Legislature.

When I am not at school, I enjoy being with my family. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 36 years. We have two daughters and one grandson.

I look forward to working with you and your child this year.

Blessings,

Mrs. Yarger
