Broadcast Jounalism Media Techology is the Special Interest Program at Southwest High School.
The Special Interest Program, Broadcast Journalism/Media Technology, is conducted in an innovative theater-style lecture halls with its adjacent updated production studio, which incorporates current/future media technologies while providing creative opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. Privileged to employ RadioShack Scholar teachers, Southwest takes pride in its dedicated, qualified, caring faculty and staff, who participate in continuous educational renewal, emphasizing the rigor and relevance of advanced education and providing opportunities for enrichment and tutoring.
Advanced Media ProgramAdvanced Media Program (AMP) is taught
in state-of-the-art labs by instructors from the Texas Christian University Bob Schieffer School of Broadcast Journalism. Upward SouthwestStudents in their second year of media technology have the opportunity to create a newscast about Southwest. The students write, shoot, produce and edit all of their own stories. |
