All About Me!

 

Welcome to my website! My name is Shelia Owens and I am the Literacy Coach at Westcreek Elementary. I am currently constructing this website, so please bear with me as I try to navigate though it. It is my hope that this will be a fun, educational site that you can get great tips on how to help your child develop a LOL (Love of Literacy) :-) 

Here are a few facts about me---This is my 13th year in education. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades and tutored in Kinder through 5th grade. I started my professional teaching career right here in FWISD at Glen Park Elementary and have taught at L. Clifford Davis and Meadowbrook Elementaries. I taught 2 years in the Aldine school district in Houston, Texas, also. I have been a Reading/Literacy Coach for 9 years and love being able to work with teachers and students!
